Sly loves to be with his people AND play with other dogs--he's an easy going sort of guy who also doesn't mind
taking a bath!

Hi! My name is Diego. I am a really nice boy who does well with other dogs as long as they are not agressive toward me. I tend to be food
agressive but that is something we can work on--it comes from being in the shelter and having to "fight for my right" to dinner--it's hard to share a small space with 2 or 3 other stressed out doggies. Lots of times food aggressiveness can be overcome when a doggie goes into a new home and realizes after some love and time, that their mealtimes are secure and safe and I won't have to compete any more.
I'm a very affectionate boy who loves attention and I do tricks like shaking hands. I'm still a little uncertain about my place in the world and I came from the school of hard knocks--so....it's scary for me when you raise your voice--it makes me want run in another room --I sure could use a forever home with a gentle touch! I'm currently with a foster mom who walks me every day but I really like getting back to the safety of my own home! I love my foster mom alot and would probably do very well with a female adopter. Diego is currently at the Shelter on Progress Road near the Airport in Baton Rouge

Adoptable Pet of the Week!
My name is Princess. I am a very affectionate girl that loves to play with children and I love kitties.I'm very good with kids and was taught not to jump on them. I would love to have a yard so I could play with my human family!
I've got very good manners and don't bark too much unless I'm on "the job" (ie keeping intruders away). I also don't really like sleeping on couches or beds--I'm pretty sure someone a long time ago punished me for that. In my forever home, if you want me up there, just show me what a great experience can be watching tv with my humans! Otherwise, I'll just hang out on the floor.
I can't wait to find my perfect forever home! If you think that's you please give my foster mom a call at 225-938-0488
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. Hope to be loving you shortly :)
